AwkwardFamilyPhotos.com Misses Out On The Awkwardness Of Latino Families

AwkwardFamilyPhotos showcases plenty of lumpy, misshapen family fun, complete with matching sweaters, home perms and coke bottle glasses. And fun poses like the one featured at left. Nothing says “I love you” like barely touching your spouse and looking away from him in a silent scream.

But, we found ourselves asking while perusing these photos, whither the awkward Latino families?

In fact, the only family that didn’t seem to be White, Anglo-Saxon and/or Protestant was the following:

No fair! Why didn’t we ever get to pose in matching outfits with our little brother in front of a giant and unnecessary stuffed tiger by the front door of our lovely but decrepit palace?!

In the spirit of recognizing and celebrating the fact that, yes, Latino families can also be terribly, terribly awkward, we decided to seek to showcase the following photos. Do enjoy:

Ok this is slightly more awkward, if only because the children are trying desperately to plan a getaway while mom digs her nails into dad. But, really not so bad as far as family portraits go. Let’s try and see if we can find something slightly more awko taco, though.

Friends are like siStErZ, so this kind of counts. In a way.
