[kon-cha] noun

Concha is the spanish word for a conch - a medium to large saltwater snail that lives in a large shell. “Concha” and “Conchita” is also a popular nickname for the girls’ name Concepción. It is important to note that, in Argentina, “concha” is often used to refer to a certain part of the female anatomy. 

Mira esta concha. Es rosadita y huele como el mar.

Look at this conch. It is pink and smells like the sea.

  3. One of the most famous hotels in Puerto Rico years ago was the “Hotel La Concha”. Naturally, all the Porteños had to take photos of themselves in front of the hotel sign. Bellacos!

    so its ridiculously fitting that my great-grama is called concha. she had 19 friggin kids. some died, some got lost in the sauce, one set of surviving twins. my family = great.
