Why Jennifer Lopez And Christina Milian Nude Photo Rumors May Be True

Recently, singers Cassie and Rihanna both had personal, nude photos leaked onto the internet, prompting some to speculate that one or both released the photos herself in order to garner publicity and prompting others to marvel at these girls’ abilities to really smile with their eyes. Well, gossipeuse Miss Info claims that neither set of photos was released by accident, and that there are plenty more photos of celebrities showing off the footie pajamas in which they were born. Or, well. “Celebrities.” Specifically, Jennifer Lopez, Jamie Foxx and Christina Milian.

This actually makes a lot of sense. We won’t touch Jamie Foxx (literally, and for the purposes of this post), but we can totally see why it might be a calculated career move on the parts of both Jennifer and Christina to release nude photos at this time. 

Jennifer’s most recent headlines have involved her husband and the birth of her new, naturally conceived womb chupacabras. Her image, then, is that of a chic mother and wife: Loving, nurturing, fashionable - but not necessarily sexy. Or talented. Christina Milian has recently dyed her hair blonde and, after a long hiatus mostly spent shark-jumping in a bikini s and being mistaken for Kat DeLuna, is back to releasing something akin to music. Nude photos would serve to 1) remind people that these people exist, 2) maybe get people who think they are sexy to buy their products or (and this is the big one) 3) drum up the sympathy of the public when they eventually make it onto The View to talk about how they felt so used and violated after the “private” photos were leaked and  how the relationship between the public and their stars has just become so… like… bad. You know? Sigh.

As much as stars profess to being embarrassed by their nude photos and sex tapes, they really worked to inject (hey-o!) a little adrenaline into their careers. For example:

• Paris Hilton’s sex tape helped make her known among people other than those who obsess over socialites and among people who happen to be 14-year-old and Japanese. While many thought (and rightfully so, it turned out) that she was kind of a skank, we do think that a few might have bought into her “Oh, waa, my big bad ex boyfriend!” act. When Paris ripped down a poster of One Night in Paris at a video store, he landscape of pop culture was irreversibly changed forever. 
• Kim Kardashian’s sex tape, which made the most of her prominent derriere, was released, and she professed to be worried that all her plans and dreams would be crushed  - only to debut her reality series, Keeping up with the Kardashians, a short while later. 
• Everyone has been waiting for a Tim Sizemore sex tape since the beginning of time, so the restless hordes were finally satiated when this came out. Same with the Dustin “Screech” Diamond tape. 
• Noelia was never more in demand than when her chocha crashed our servers. It seems that people can only manage to drum up interest for the singer when she’s being shot in the face… or being shot at in Mexico.
