On this day in 1982, model Ana Beatriz Barros was born in the small, Brazilian town of Itabira, Minas Gerais. Her beginnings were humble–mom, Sônia was a housewife, and dad, Reinato, a mechanic engineer–but her genes were superior and so the family moved to Rio de Janeiro where she would grow into the ridiculously hot woman you see before you. A woman who would go on to represent such important brands as Guess, Bebe and the holy grail, Victoria’s Secret. But, alas, fellas. Despite her ordinary beginnings, Ana told Sports Illustrated last year, “I like good-looking guys in general, not dorky or different guys.” After all, she’s got an empire to protect.
