Latinoids Take Over Cannes

A smattering of Latinos graced the red carpet at the Cannes International Film Festival this year, with Eva Longoria sporting an eye-catching gown as she swooped over the Bright Star premiere for no discernible reason.
Spanish model Eugenia Silva appeared to be having fun as she twirled on the red carpet at the premiere for the animated feature Up (which we really, really, really want to see).
Gael Garcia Bernal’s mother, actress Patricia Bernal, stopped by Cannes to lend support to her other son, Darío Yazbek Bernal, who is starring in Daniel y Ana.
Filipina actress Mercedes Cabral looked pretty at a photocall for Kinatay (”Butchered”) and Mariah Carey looked gorgeous as she promoted Precious, a film which is garnering critical reviews as well as shock over Mariah’s performance as a social worker.
The highlight for us, however, has been author (and warrior of light) Paulo Coelho’s Twitter account of the festival. We’re not sure if he’s having a good time, but we’re enjoying keeping up with his observations.

Why is Eva at Cannes? Did they turn that into yet another Los 50 Mas Bellos celebration?
