Wife Of Napoleon Barragan, The 1-800-Mattress Mogul, Allegedly Killed By Her Son On Long Island

Napoleon Barragan, the man behind 1-800-Mattress (Did you know that company was owned by a Latino?), is in mourning following the murder of his wife, Kay, by the couple’s 38-year-old son. Eduardo Barragan, who evidently suffers from schizophrenia, was alone with his 65-year-old mother when she died. Kay was found at the bottom of the staircase in the family’s Long Island home and was said to have suffered “head and upper body trauma,” but officials aren’t revealing any more about the case. Her body was found by the family driver at 7 a.m. Napoleon Barragan’s whereabouts during the incident are not known, but he has not been living with his wife. While she and their son were in Long Island, Napoleon had been staying in Queens.
Eduardo’s sister, also named Kay, says everything seemed alright between her brother and mother, although she adds he had been suffering from his mental illness for 19 years. A neighbor, however, said, “Something wasn’t right about him.”
This isn’t the first tragedy the Barragan family has dealt with. They love a daughter, Beatrice, in 2003 and a son, Luis, drowned in 2006. The company - which was founded using $2,000 Kay had earned by selling Avon products.
The company is currently facing bankruptcy and is expected to be bought out by Sleepy’s.
Somewhat oddly, a family spokesperson described the incident as ”a terrible tragedy for the family and for the company as well.”
…Why for the company?

Seems like they started the company together, I’m sure she knew a lot of people there, probably a lot of people at the company are sad cause she’s dead. Duuuuuh!
Napoleon Barragan is a very good man and highly respected by all who know him and have worked for him. Any evil that befalls him is deep felt by everyone who cares for him. Nap, my heart goes out to you and Kay. I’ve always known you to be a rational man and hope that that ration carries you through it all. My sympathies… Charlie Jimenez.
