Padre Alberto Cutié Speaks To Univision & The Miami Herald

Padre Alberto and his dreamy blue eyes appeared on Univision last night in an excerpt of a full interview with co-anchor Teresa Rodriguez that will air Tuesday night on Primer Impacto regarding this crazy canoodling-with-a-woman-on-the-beach thing. Padre Cutié wouldn’t confirm whether or not his lover is Ruhama Buni Canellis, 35, as is rumored, but he did say he met the mystery woman ten years ago in church (hawt) and that he can honestly say she is a woman he loves. Awww.
Padre Alberto also spoke with the Miami Herald afterwards saying that he’s had time to think about it and marriage and children are definitely in his plans. Which we assume means he’ll be converting to Episcopalianism since the only way the Church allows priests to carry on a sexual relationship is if they stick to defenseless children.
“I’m not going to rush into marriage. I know all about that,” Padre Alberto said Friday, “But I would like to have a family and at the same time serve God.”
He also alluded that this “struggle” has gone on for close to a year even though he met his girlfriend ten years ago. We assume that means it only got sexual about a year ago, but he is being vague with the press.
“It wasn’t a matter of if, it was a matter of when,” Cutié went on to say. “You cannot be a married priest in the Roman Catholic Church. I have friends — Episcopalian bishops, Baptists, friends in the American Bible Society — and they have shown me that it is possible to do both.”
There is one other thing Padre Cutié could do, but it would be quite the tapdance. He could convert to a non-Catholic, Christian religion, become a priest or minister there, marry and then convert back to Catholicism and get re-ordained as a priest. The Church has a loophole that allows married clergy from other Christian denominations to convert to Catholicism and become priests while keeping their wives.

Can someone remind me, why exactly are we supposed to care about this idiot and his personal problems?
El Padre Alberto era un modelo a seguir para los jóvenes católicos. Nos sentimos decepcionados ante las declaraciones realizadas por él. Esperabamos escuchar algo relacionado a:
“Si te acercas a servir al Señor, prepárate para la prueba“ (Eclesiástico 2,1)
“Dichoso el que aguanta en la prueba, porque, una vez acrisolado, recibirá la corona de la vida que el Señor prometió a los que le aman” (Santiago 1,12)
“Pueden confiar en que Dios no permitirá que sean puestos a prueba por encima de sus fuerzas; al contrario, junto a la prueba les proporcionará fuerzas suficientes para superarla” (1Corintios 10,13)
No fué así. Sus declaraciones demuestran que se dejó llevar por sus pasiones y que su confianza en el padre cayó lo más bajo posible.
Es posibe que un sacerdote se enamore… eso no quiere decir que tenga que dejarse llevar po sus pasiones. Muchas pesonas suprimen sus deseos por temor de DIos. Hacen lo imposible por no fallarle al padre. Pero el padre Alberto se mantuvo cerca de esta mujer durante 10 años… quizás esperando a caer. En su interior quería caer…
Y acá entre nosotros… ¿Qué tipo de mujer se mantiene asechando a un sacerdote durante 10 años consecutivos? ¿Donde esta el temor de Dios?
¿Acaso esta relación es como aceite y agua…? o nos dejaremos llevar por el refrán que dice juntate con perros y terminarás ladrando.
Que decepción… a esta juventud le hace falta lideres. Que triste es ver cuando los lideres se dejan llevar tan bajo y despues declaran no estar arrepentidos de la acción, sino de que las personas se hayan enterado. Se arrepiente del error que lo llevó a que lo descubrieran.
¿Cuanto tiempo más iba a engañar a sus feligreses?

Pense lo mismo, ya que se vio en la entrevista que lo cacharon, como decimos en Mexico, si no lo hubiesen fotografiado hubiese seguido con la mentira y no tuviese que tomar una decision. Ni modo, lo hemos perdido como sarcedote. Y la se~nora ya tenia otro hijo, asi que ella habra sido su feligres y acudio a el por consejo y mira a lo que llego.

bottom line equals: Padre Alberto BROKE his vows and got involved with a woman for 2yrs+.. You cannot do that as a Priest, period; stuggling or not. A Doctor takes vows, A Priest takes vows; break them, and u get punished. C’mon now.. His hand IN her super thin bikini bottom on a public beach, groping her butt?? A hypocrite in the priesthood, he now joins a counterfeit “church” premised upon sexual license, and tries thereby to make an “honest” man of himself, and a woman who it is claimed has convictions for improper business dealings and a warrant out for her arrest!~ Moreover, she has a child 5 years out from her divorce, Whose might that be???
