guest was correct in that the problem with marriage was with Paul and not Jesus. People do need to read their Bible but also heed the words about “judging others lest ye be judged…”

please deja a padre alberto enpas que los catolicos no sean tan hipocritas, la iglesia no la ase un hombre que la asemos los que vamos a la iglesia y si eres buen catolico y si nunca pierdes la fe no tienes porque culpar a los sacerdotes. Antes tienes que pedirle a dios por los que cometen algun error, porque no somos nadien para jusgar a los sacerdotes. o cambiar se de iglesia .

well Guest. Jesus never married. He had nothing good to say about marriage. He said there is no marriage in heaven. He said celibacy was for the sake of the Kingdom of Heaven. So where do you get the idea that Jesus was for married priests? May I suggest you actually read the bible?

Mira, gente! The Bible according to JESUS never says ANYthing about a priest must be celibate. That is all St. Paul,s remarks–check out your scripture and all you Catholic sisters and brothers stop taking the Vatican’s edits as GOSPEL. That was decided by a pope, who although is in apostolic succesion, –JESUS is the higher authority..While the Episcopal church is WRONG about a ALOT of stuff ( gay clergy ,ie) there is no mandate from Jesus that a priest should be celibate.Paul had a wife woh was the “thorn in his side” so scholars say–and in those days, a traveling preacher of the gospel could not take care of a family and spread the gospel because they traveled around, depending on handouts and god’s help to survive. HOWEVER–Paul DOES say ” It is better to marry than to burn” and suggests celibacy is the best way to serve God alone. WHERE does the Catholic church get this from? Some pope– Gregory I? So lighten up on Father Cutie–I hope he comes to my church-we’d LOVE hiim!
