TMZ decided to compare freshly named U.S. Supreme Court nominee Sonia Sotomayor to some woman in La Bamba. (Okay, Elizabeth Peña.) While we realize, "We're Just Sayin'," is a recurring, non-discriminatory feature on TMZ that points out celebrities who (often) look (nothing) alike, in this situation where the country is celebrating civil rights progress, it's probably not a good idea to associate the subject of said progress with something as clichéd and stereotypical as the words, "La Bamba." Nor is it a good time to bring up whispers of "they all look alike," considering these two really look nothing alike. We're just saying.
