Two Bodies Recovered From Air France Flight 447

Brazil’s air force has purportedly found the bodies of two passengers on Air France Flight 447. The bodies, both male, were found in the Atlantic Ocean midway between the flight’s trip from Rio de Janeiro to Paris. Authorities have also found a leather briefcase containing a ticket for the doomed flight.
The plane crash, in which all 228 passengers have been presumed dead, may have been caused when the Airbus 330’s systems failed during a storm that occurred about four hours into the flight. Speed monitors on some Air France flights had been known to be faulty, but instruments had not yet been replaced on the plane that crashed.
Officials looking into the cause of the crash are trying to determine whether the aircraft’s external instruments may have iced over during the flight, which may have resulted in the plane’s speed monitors recording an incorrect speed and computers to set the plane’s speed at too fast or too slow - something particularly dangerous when a plane is attempting to navigate through turbulent weather.
