The Spanish press has decided to pick up the Italian media's slack when it comes to reporting on the controversial and salacious extracurriculars of Italy's PM, Silvio Berlusconi.
You may recall that, a while back, the wife of Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi published a letter alleging her husband had a penchant for younger women like beauty queen Naomi Letizia. Like any man going through a horrific and embarrassing mid-like crisis, Berlusconi has upped the ante by roaming his villa grounds accompanied by various young woman who are not his wife.
Photos published in El Pais show Berlusconi and young, mostly female guests strolling at the Villa Certosa on the island of Cerdeña. One image shows a man, nude and with an erection, standing over a woman. Berlusconi has defended the pictures saying his frolicking was "innocent," that his guests are not expected to bathe in a jacuzzi while wearing a suit and tie, and that the photos are an invasion of privacy. The photos have been banned from being published by the Italian media (which invented the very concept of paparazzi) and impounded by the Public Prosecutor of Rome. The banning adds to the photos' overall air of innocence and playfulness.
Berlusconi, it seems, has often invited various artists, dancers, TV hostesses and even Czech Prime Minister Mirek Topolanek to the Villa Certosa, where they arrive in official government aircraft.
Spanish publication El Pais, which printed the photos, have defended themselves against accusations of violating the PM's privacy, saying:

Silvio Berlusconi should not get things wrong. The publication of the photographs of his private parties is not an attempt to judge his morality as an ordinary citizen, rather it aims to show how, as prime minister, he is trying to turn the realm of democratic politics into a simple continuation of his friendships and entertainment ... It is not the job of official aircraft to transport guests to his private parties.Berlusconi is himself no stranger to (semi)public nudity, as he has previously been photographed combing an Italian beach while completely naked. And, really? He's not looking too bad for 72.

i feel dirty for looking at those pictures. a little grossd out too.
ReplyI can see why he would want these pictures banned :)
ReplyThis is some sick shit. Worse, him allegedly being involved with an 18 year-old. I'm sorry, but whenever these older guys (even those in their 30s) are roaming around the "barely legal" crowd, you have to suspect they're into underage teens. I mean, why wouldn't they be? If 18, why not 17, or 16, or 15...
ReplyOr 12. Hey, if they bleed, they breed.
