Che Guevara’s Granddaughter Lydia Is Also Revolting

Ernesto “Che” Guevara’s granddaughter, the lovely and dirt-smeared Lydia, is posing for a PETA campaign in a way that capitalizes on the legacy of her slain grandpappy. In her ad, 24-year-old Lydia appears nude, wearing only a jaunty cap and carrots that resemble ammunition.
Says Lydia:
PETA’s battles on the behalf of animals motivated me to become a vegetarian. This lifestyle has truly become a revolution in that its constantly recruiting more people and advocates a more healthful alternative for the planet and for people.
Lydia made reference to her PETA shoot over her Twitter account a couple of days ago (read through - she’s often pretty funny):
Must rest. PETA gig in the AM. Much love you little beasts! x
Interesting that she should reference her famous gramps and his iconic image given her own family members were all kind of like “stop selling Che’s image, u guyz.“
At least PETA is attempting to appeal to Latinos (and/or suburban communists) in a way that does not equate worries over getting fat with the fear of undertaking a dangerous and often life-threatening journey across the border.
Anyway. We have our own issues with Che’s image and with PETA. So we realize we were never gonna be converted to either cause with this ad. All said, Lydia seems like a lady with convictions she’s really to… pose for. So that’s something.

random aside, i once saw a doc on che at the film forum and was in line waiting for popcorn behind joan jett and the drummer from luscious jackson. i almost fainted. i was 20 though, so please forgive me.
HEY! She is NOT revolting. I think she’s actually quite attractive. And PETA has figured out what sells. This is funny and disturbing to an extent that defies comment. ROTFLMAO!
Are you sure you wouldn’t convert to being a vegetarian, at least temporarily, if she let you start by eating those carrots? LOL!
