Traje de Adán

[trah-hey dey ah-dAhn]

This idiomatic expression, literally translated as “Adam’s suit / outfit” refers to the Biblical first man, Adam, who has nude before eating from the Tree of Knowledge. This slang term is used just like “birthday suit” in English. 

El hombre que salió del pastel estaba vestido en su traje de Adán, que, desafortunadamente, el olvidó de planchar. 

The man who jumped out of the cake was dressed in his birthday suit which, unfortunately, he forgot to iron.
