It’s time for Round Two of Guanabee’s Hottest Latino Journalist Cook-Off. Round Two pits two, hot veterans against two sexy, young things. Also! Don’t forget to vote for Round One which closes at 5pm ET.
Jorge Ramos
- Eligibility: Mexican-born anchor on Univision.
- Claim To Fame: Cindy’s first love. Also he moderated the first Spanish-language U.S. Presidential Debate.
- Why He’s Hot: His eyes kill us. Also, he’s really, really smart and he chastises Americans for being the only country in the world that thinks it’s a bad thing to learn more than one language.
José Simían
- Eligibility: Chilean-born freelance reporter and producer for NY1 Noticias.
- Claim To Fame: The first journalist to oust Jorge Ramos in Cindy’s heart. Also, he interviewed Javier Bardem.
- Why He’s Hot: He’s got that hip, young, Grup thing going on. Makes us want to follow him on Twitter. Oh, and did we mention the accent?

Maria Hinojosa
- Eligibility: Mexican-born host of NPR’s Latino USA.
- Claim To Fame: Queen of Spanish pronunciation.
- Why She’s Hot: Maria’s like the sexy Spanish teacher you always dreamed about in high school. And she’s got that MILF thing happening in a big way. Plus, she works for NPR. Which automatically makes her seem ten times smarter than anyone else in this contest.
Maria Santana
- Eligibility: New York Bureau Manager and Correspondent For Mega TV.
- Claim To Fame: She was in a Gael Garcia Bernal/Diego Luna sandwich.
- Why She’s Hot: Maria is spunky. She looks like she could kick your ass. And then report it on the evening news.

Seriously! Maria Santana shouldn’t even be on the list. There are so many more better looking reporters that are a better fit here! She doesn’t even cover real news, just crap stuff, basically waste of time! At least Maria H. does real journalism!
Hey News Nazi, give us a break! In case you didn’t notice, this isn’t the Pulitzer these guys are getting, it’s a made-up contest by a silly (and hilarious) gossip site. Keep your vitriol (AKA hateration) inside that black organ you call a heart, and let people have some fun. If you are such a media “purist” (AKA snob) maybe you shouldn’t be “wasting time” on Guanabee in the first place. Don’t you have something better to do, like killing neighborhood cats or making poisoned candy or something?
As for me, While both Maria’s are totally hot in their own ways, I gave very careful consideration and looked at the evidence (AKA the non-airbrushed pictures). After that, and considering the real world possibilities (of whether I’d meet one, and my possible chances), I gotta go with Santana. Still nice to have hotness on both sides of the age spectrum! Keep it coming Guanabee!
Love Maria Santana! If anyone has ever met her, she’s super smart, sweet and of course sexy!!! She doesn’t compromise herself like some of the other women who are so called ‘journalists’ in the Hispanic media (and trust me I know one too many). Everyone pales in comparison next to her…all the Mari Gamarras, Maria Celestes of the world. They’re fake. She the real deal the next big thing. Mark my words.
