You are right.. these people are on the Univisions, Telemundos and CNN’s of the world, but for how long?? As far as I see it, these are networks in decline that everyday put more and more Latino journalists ass out on the street leaving everyone, including people who decide to just start a blog, looking for an alternative.

Sounds like a bit of sore losing to me…I have seen Ledo on TV and checked out the online stuff for Santana and see very little difference in terms of reporting. Plus they kinda look alike anyway… so what’s the issue?
I think the contest is cool. I mean this is a gossip site, no? There are even nudie pictures on this thing. Like the person said before, Who the F cares, really? Do these people win anything beside getting talked about by random people? Doesn’t seem worth it for them if that’s the case…Especially if people are going to get all nasty about it.

As a Latina, why would I even want to win a “Hotness” contest as professional. I’m so sick of all of this. Win for your professional abilities, not a picture.

This is tiring people. And Antiquated perceptions of beauty (Maria rallier)? This is a “hotness” contest. The descriptions give you the answer already…..”Ana has the professional sexy thing that fogs up your screen.” “Maria looks like she can kick your ass” Sad…As a Latina…..even sadder.

Don’t let the nice smile fool you (though she’s got the best of the bunch). There’s more than cuteness that’s bringing out the votes here. She’s pretty freakin’ smart too, and driven. Read the bio. Wesleyan Grad (not some communications tech), and in 3 yrs, she goes from intern to running the NYC bureau, and didn’t get trapped just doing the weather. Hotness comes in many forms, and there is plenty here to keep the laptop keys smoking. Besides, the numbers speak for themselves. Seems like we’re exposing some antiquated perceptions of beauty here and a bit of gender bias. Would you say the same about some of the men on this list? They all don’t look like Jorge Ramos after all…

I think Maria is a great reporter too. I agree she is sooo sweet and cutebut definitely not as pretty as Ana. “haters will hate?” People are funny. This competition is not for “cutest, sweet girl”,,,,,,Maria would get my vote in a sec for that.

Must be some weird inside voting thing or rallying here. Santana is nice and spunky but in no way comes close being as hot as Ana Ledo.
