Why We’re Not Taking Down Daisy Ballmajo’s Naked Pictures

Daisy Ballmajo, who is a very public person, what with her co-hosting TV Paparazzi on network MegaTV, is doing damage control regarding those nudie pics of hers in wide distribution all over the internet. Her lawyers sent us a letter asking us to take the photos down. Interesting coming from someone in her line of work.

Here’s the rather stern letter we received from her lawyer:

[Y]our company has published personal and private photographs of my client Daisy Ballmajo. These photographs were stolen from Ms. Ballmajo without her knowledge or consent. They are personal and private photographs that were obtained from her illegally and publication of them is a gross invasion of her privacy that has caused her great emotional distress and damage to her career.

Would that be the career built on the public broadcasting of other peoples’ sex tapes and photographs? Innocent victims like Mexican singer Belinda. Or what about Puerto Rican poptard Noelia? Both of those women had their private videos or photographs leaked onto the internet, allegedly illegally and without their consent. Guess who was right there to pick up those scoops of dirty poop? You guessed it. Your girl Daisy Ballmajo and the Paparazzi TV team of douchebag hypocrites. Why, the fact that the items were allegedly stolen was proudly reported as news.

But as soon as the tables were turned, Daisy and her co-host Fernando del Rincon sung a different tune. When word spread that the pictures were out, she begged whoever was holding them not to publish and threatened to persecute them to the full extent of the law.

The word gall doesn’t suffice. Hubris might work. After all, calling Daisy Ballmajo a journalist is about the funniest thing we’ve heard all day. We personally don’t care if Daisy has an exciting, photogenic love life. We don’t even care that the guy in the photos with her doesn’t slightly resemble her husband, Bobby Salamanca, Jr. But what does seem newsworthy here is that a woman who makes her money exploiting the stolen sex tapes and photographs of others is so aggressively threatening legal recourse when the same is done to her.
