A lot of us don’t really like Dov Charney. Some might say he’s loathsome and dangerous. But at least the man practices what he preaches. In a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission last night, American Apparel revealed that the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement believes that between 1600 and 1800 of its employees are ineligible to work in the U.S. because they’re illegals and they speak illegal alien.

Dov is hopeful that these hundreds of people can sort their paperwork out and continue to work at American Apparel, but if they don’t, the company said it intends to continue to cooperate with regulators and will fire them dastardly immigrants. In the SEC filing, which amounts to an advertisement to investors but with words instead of salacious photos, AmApp said it wasn’t worried that the loss of the 1600-1800 workers would cause a material disruption in its business. However, the loss may cause a material disruption in Dov’s taking advantage of young women working in their underwear, at least until he finds their replacements.

The question we have is whether this inquisition by ICE and the resultant disclosure to the SEC and investors will cool Dov’s ardent desire to Legalize LA. Now that AmApp has been further exposed as a haven for illegal immigrants as well as sexual harassment and colorfully hipster clothing, is this too much drama for Dov to withstand? Will he run like a bitch and just focus on his true love of exploiting women? Or will this further embolden Charney and Co. to defend the workforce to which he’s been exposing his cock for years?
