Eridania Rodriguez, the 46 year-old sister of internationally-ranked bodybuilder Victor Rodriguez who went missing Thursday night while cleaning a Manhattan skyscraper at 2 Rector Street, is dead. Her body was found by police about 9 am yesterday, shoved in an air duct on the 12th floor, with her head “wrapped like a mummy in heavy-duty yellow and black construction tape,” and her hands and legs also bound by tape. Her brother told the New York Daily News that this was supposed to have been Eridania’s last week on the job because she felt it was unsafe. According to Victor, a co-worker recently exposed himself to her and was transferred [Ed: Transferred?!].
Last night, cops tried to question a 26 year-0ld elevator operator with a prior record named Joseph Pabon who was released when he asked for a lawyer, but according to the Daily News, not before crying when asked about the murder, showing visible scratches on his arms and hands and having no explanation for why he left the office at 7pm that night. According to ABC News, Rodriguez leaves behind a husband and “several” children.

This is such a sad and tragic story especially since noone seemed to heed her warnings that she was being harrassed at work. What’s even sadder is that pretty soon it will become a Law & Order SUV episode….
This one really bothers me. Such a pretty woman, and nobody was listening.
True about the L&O story though.
This murderer is cold as hell. He left that poor woman in that vent alive to die of suffocation. Jesus.
My heart goes out to her family.
