[t*ru-cha] noun
This word, used often in Argentina, is used to refer to someone who is “fake” or puts on airs. It literally means “trout.”
En este libro, la rubia es una trucha y todo lo que ella dice es red herring.
In this book, the blonde is a fake and everything she says is a red herring.

dude, in south texas it also means to be sharp. “ponte trucha,” or “be sharp/aware.”
