This Day In Latino History
8 July 2009, 9:04 AM. By Cindy Casares

On this day in 2008, with more than 9 million Latino voters expected to vote in the fall, United States presidential candidates John McCain and Barack Obama addressed the League of United Latin American Citizens, [Ed: But they're like the KKK without hoods!], in an attempt to get them to get you to vote for them. Senator McCain addressed the economy and Congress’ failed attempts at regulating immigration while Senator Obama addressed McCain’s flip-flopping on the issue of “securing the borders” and reminded LULAC what a shitty job they’d historically done of registering Latino voters. Which just goes to show you that Latinos respond to criticism.
