On this day in 1995, legendary, parking lot grilled cheese industry supporters The Grateful Dead performed a concert at Soldier Field in Chicago that was to be lead singer Jerry Garcia’s last. He died a month later of heart failure due to being a druggie and a fat ass, God love him. The show was their 2, 314th marking the end of a tour that spanned three decades. In true Deadhead style, we will list their set here:

A commenter on a fansite who claims to have been there has this to say:
It was literally like watching the shell of what used to be, struggling to keep it together for his last gasp. His guitar playing was dismal, forgot words to every song and genuinely looked ready to pack it in.
Judge for yourself.
