On this day in 1995, legendary, parking lot grilled cheese industry supporters The Grateful Dead performed a concert at Soldier Field in Chicago that was to be lead singer Jerry Garcia’s last. He died a month later of heart failure due to being a druggie and a fat ass, God love him. The show was their 2, 314th marking the end of a tour that spanned three decades.
