DJ AM Found Dead

DJ AM, né Adam Goldstein, was found dead in his Manhattan apartment earlier this evening. He was 36 years old.

Police arrived at his Lafayette Street apartment and broke down the DJ’s door after friends became concerned at not having heard from him. Sources say drug paraphernalia was found in the apartment, but the cause of death is yet unknown.

Goldstein was seriously injured in a place crash earlier this year, along with drummer Travis Barker. He was engaged to Nicole Richie in 2005.
