Charles Perez Has Been Fired, Bring On The Strippers

Miami news anchor Charles Perez has been fired from WPLG days after issuing a discrimination complaint against the news station. Perez, you recall, had been demoted to weekend anchor after an email he wrote to his therapist about his “gender identity issues” was circulated around his office. In his complaint, Perez claimed his New Director Bill Pohovey, among others, were targeting him because of his homosexuality. 

Perez’s business lawyer says they will most certainly be adding his termination to his discrimination complaint. The station, for their part, maintain that Perez had given them “no real choice” but to fire him. 

Oh Charles. When life closes a door, it’s up to you to open a window. Especially if that window looks out onto an early 90s talk show featuring male strippers:
