Round 3: Jenni Rivera’s Brother Juan Vs. Reporter Javier Ceriani. Place Your Bets.

Maybe getting into loud, embarrassing fights that play out for the media is in Jenni Rivera’s blood. Jenni’s trashy brother, Juan, was reportedly instructed by his trashy sister to beat up celebrity journalist Javier Ceriani after the professional trash-talker referred to Jenni as “fat” on Laura Bozzo’s popular (trashy) talk show.
Ceriani says he had never met Juan Rivera before the two taped an episode of Laura’s show together. Juan became enraged when Ceriani pointed out that Jenni was fat and coldly informed Ceriani that he was not allowed to talk about his sister that way. Ceriani maintains that, since Jenni is a public figure whose persona relies heavily on presenting herself as sexy, her looks and weight are fair game as topics of discussion. Ceriani says Juan continued to threaten him, even saying that if they weren’t in a room full of people, he would have “dragged him like a snake.”
After the show, Ceriani was informed by a producer that Juan was wandering the studio’s halls, looking for him. Juan eventually found him and began to hit him, letting Ceriani know that he’d spoken to his sister and that she had advised her brother to knock the shit out of him.
Ceriani says he plans on alerting the police about the incident and that, should any harm come to him any time he happens to be in Mexico, Juan Rivera will be the primary suspect. Yes, but what about malicious prostitutes?
Juan, for his part, says he doesn’t discuss “trash” and did not hit Ceriani.
So now it seems that we are forming teams, here, in the world of Spanish-language tabloid fights. On one side, we’ve got Los Riveras. On the other, Niurka “Ima Gut You With An Acrylic And Fuck Your Daddy” Marcos as well as Graciela “Sympathy Points For Having A Probs-Dead Brother” Beltran and, now, Javier “El Guero Comemierda” Ceriani.
