jonathan-bleiweissSheriff’s Deputy Jonathan Bleiweiss pleaded not guilty today to multiple charges, including sexual assault, sexual battery by a person in authority and stalking. Bleiweiss, as you know if you’ve been following our coverage of his case, is a South Florida law enforcement officer who is accused of intimidating and performing sex acts on at least eight undocumented Latino immigrants.

Bleiweiss’ attorny, Eric Schwartzreich, calls the allegations against his client “unfounded,” despite the recent discovery that Bleiweiss kept police records on his alleged victims in a wooden chest in his bedroom:

These are only allegations. I don’t believe there is, for a lack of a better term, I don’t believe there’s any foundation or meat on the bone to these allegations. He didn’t do this. They are allegations and we’re confident he’ll be acquitted in court.

One victim’s mother has come forward in an attempt to clear up previous statement made by Schwartzreich on why these men “waited” to come forward with their stories:

If Bleiweiss is eventually convicted and sent to a South Florida prison, we can only imagine the welcome he’ll get from the Latino inmates in the system. It’s like rai-ai-aiiiin on your wedding day.
