Spanish YouTube Video Subtitled To Say Michael Jackson Faked His Death

At least two Spanish-language videos posted on YouTube have cobbled together satirical reports of Michael Jackson having faked his own death. Seems a little more probable that homeslice has been faking life since the mid-90s.

The first video uses footage from Michael’s now-infamous TV interview special with Martin Bashir in which the singer admitted to having been abused by his father. The footage is coupled with a misleading translation that makes the in appear to be part of a report about a plan Michael and his father, Joe, made in order to (inexplicably) take care of his financial woes:

News anchor: Welcome back. As you know, we have discovered that Michael Jackson has faked his death. The pop star never died, but disappeared in a race car and has remained in hiding so that his father may gain custody of his children. Jackson’s father hatched this plan so that he could pay off his son’s debts, including those related to his plastic surgery procedures and many other purchases. His fans and those within the music industry are upset. Here is the interview.

Reporter: Now you’ve told me your life story. You. Why are you now telling me about your father’s lie? Why fake your death?

MJ: I did it because… It’s hard to say. I wanted to be an example. He said “Do it, Michael.” And this way we could have a lot of money in our hands. But the first step is…  You’d have to…

Reporter: Disappear. And never come back. And never say anything. And by following these steps, you’d allow for your father to pay off all your debts. Is that what you’re telling me?

MJ: Yes. It’s terrible to think I agreed to something like this. I saw myself everywhere and I became nervous just thinking about how I faked my death. Because if someone were to have found out about this and discovered me, they would all have all attacked me and I wouldn’t be able to get back up. I would truly be dead. But I couldn’t fake it any longer. I tried… It’s really difficult. And, well. He told me, “Do it, Michael. Do it, Michael.” I was very nervous, and that made him nervous, too. Because… the idea is horrible.

Reporter: But you went through with it, just the same.

MJ: Too much.

Reporter: Were you inside that coffin?

MJ: [Cries.] I know how much you all suffered because of me! No, I was in my bed.

Reporter: What do you have to say to your fans?

MJ: They no longer have any confidence in me. I know I messed up. I faked it all for money, but… Now everything is paid, so.

Reporter: What about the suffering of your children?

MJ: I know… 

Reporter: You have babies.

MJ: I know…  I didn’t want to do it.

Reporter: And now all your records are sold.

MJ: Yes, I know. If I didn’t fake it, they would have killed me just the same. I remember my mother screaming, “Joe, you’re going to kill him! You’re going to kill him! Stop it, you’re going to kill him!” Then the ambulance came.  They took me to the clinic; they took that photo of me. I played like I was dead and I said, “Oh my God. This is wrong. This is really wrong.”

The second video goes into a looooooooooooong overview of his life and career and ends by mentioning reports speculating that he is still alive and hiding in Eastern Europe or in Mexico. He just wanted everyone to go away and stop asking him about his scandals. Ay!
