“Fame” 2009 Video! Remember, Remember, Remember (When Hollywood Had Original Thought?)

Well, kiddos, we’re sorry you don’t get to have your own pop culture memories because you’re being forced by Hollywood to re-use all of ours, like some kind of tattered OshKosh B’gosh hand-me-downs. Fame the remake of Fame from 1980 is about to come out in theaters and with it comes this music video for a slowed down, hip-hop version of the same theme song, “Fame (Remember My Name),” originally sung by Irene Cara now performed by co-stars Naturi Naughton and Collins Pennie. We suppose it’s a sign that humans, as a race, have come to the end of our creative potential, so God may as well strike us dead with global warming and swine flu.
