Healthcare Reform: Bill Maher Asks, “What Do Republicans Want A Bleeding Mexican To Do?”

bill_maher This weekend on Real Time With Bill Maher, Maher raised the issue of why conservatives refuse to show compassion for illegal aliens in this country. During a conversation about Rep. Joe Wilson’s (R-SC) infamous, “You lie!” outburst, Maher reiterated that the claim was made with the belief that Obama’s healthcare plan gives medical benefits to illegal aliens in this country, (which it doesn’t.) “Now,” Maher said, “[Wilson] doesn’t even want them to even be able to buy healthcare with their own money.” Which led him to the bigger question that no one on television wants to ask, “What do Republicans want a bleeding Mexican to do?” Legal analyst Jeffrey Toobin’s response was priceless.

As ludicrous as it sounds to ban illegals from buying food, how different is it to deny them healthcare? After all, aren’t we benefiting from their scandalously underpaid labor? At least, those of us who eat food, anyway. How humane is it, then, to deny them basic medical care should they be injured or get sick? Then again, as Maher said, banning them from eating our food might actually save their lives.

The inscription on the Statue of Liberty does not say “send us your teeming masses so we may provide health care!” If it did, then every nation in the world …not only Mexico..could send migrants here for health care …and why stop at workers only..why not anyone from any country that needs our superior health care. And what drives that health care..MONEY! Ya’ know, that factor the above writer glossed over in a fit of fervent prose.

Most of these people do not pay into Medicare or Social Security but liberals feel we owe them health and now, believe it, want them to get Social Security even though they paid not one penny to it. But let’s give them the vote as well so we could pander to their every whim , or , rather, that of the whacked out liberal fringe people like Bill Maher.

Time to start thinking like you had a brain ..before it turns to mush.

    • Yeah, I’m sure it’s their choice not to pay social security, Newage44. I’m sure they’re just sitting at home counting their piles of gold coins from not paying taxes. You, sir, or madame, are the one who needs to put your thinking cap on.

Newage44, Since you think you’re the only one with a brain, what’s your plan for healthcare for all, including those who may or may not be legal in this country? Turn them away when medical attention is needed?

You may want to read and have the words of the Statue of Liberty and have the meaning explained to you,as reading comprehension seems not to be your strong suit…..

Should Mexicans & other Hispanics be turned away from the fields of fruit and vegetables in need of picking for less than minimum wage from California to Florida and all states in between? Bowed over in the fields from sun-up to sun-down,in the heat hot enough to fry an egg? So, it’s okay to exploit these hardworking Mexicans and other Hispanics, and offer them no way to obtain some form of healthcare or receive medical attention? What a heartless person you are…

Your message,it seems, is to label Hispanics as “these people”..Well, mi amigo, “these people” work to keep the economy running, when right wingers like yourself are sitting on your *ss
with your ethnic bias never to lift a helping hand to anyone different than you..Unless, you have a business and need the Hispanics to keep your business in “business”…..

Liberal fringe? What a crock of b/s….

Jeff Toobin said: “After all, aren’t we benefiting from their scandalously underpaid labor?”.

Jeff, in first place nobody asked those illegals to move here; they are illegal precisely because they never abided by our immigration laws. The scandalous underpaid labor earned here is 10x higher that what they receive in their own corrupt country. Stop the guilt trip already.! If I decide to invade the privacy of your home would you allow me to stay for as long as I wish? Of course not.!! Immigrants are welcome to live in this country BUT all Americans want is for them to do it legally and orderly. Is that too much to ask? –macaronte
