A Shoot Out At The Mexican Border Stopped Traffic Last Night, Hurry Juanes!

Traffic was at a standstill last night at the San Ysidro port of entry that connects San Diego and Tijuana, Mexico when ICE agents opened fire on some human traffickers also known as coyotes to mi gente. The incident occurred when drivers of three vans carrying 74 people tried to storm past inspectors at the bridge into the U.S. [Ed: That was their grand plan to get into the country?] The shootout, which took place over 9 of the 24 northbound traffic lanes, left 3 wounded while a fourth was injured when one vehicle smashed into another as it tried to bypass border inspectors. Traffic was at a standstill for some 4 hours during rush hour. Chiclet sales were through the rizzah. One person who was injured remained in critical condition last night. The rest are expected to recover. Reports today are that bridge traffic is back to normal.
The incidence of death and violence are all too common along the U.S.-Mexico border. Luckily, Colombian pop star Juanes is going to change all that with his third concert for peace which he hopes to hold next year on the border of El Paso and Ciudad Juarez. At least, according to the media who say he tweeted as much on September 17. We couldn’t find the alleged announcement, but we will be vigorously investigating these rumors of a possible Juanes appearance so close to us. And will Juanes be able to get any celebrities to appear or will they be too afraid of the narcos? Stay tuned.

So do we know where the concert is going to actually be or is he trying to keep it under wraps for some reason? And don’t be a smart-ass and tell me the border, duh.
We are diligently trying to procure that info. It seems at this point that the idea is still in its early stages.
