Did you know that the paper application for US citizenship/naturalization has questions about "good moral character"? You have to disclose if you've ever been part of "The Communist Party", whatever that is (question 9a!), and state whether you have ever been a "habitual drunkard" (question 22a!). It's bizarre, those questions are like relics of another age. The term “American values” is kind of vague, no? What does it mean exactly?
