Nothing wrong with “The Bell Jar”. I’d be worried if she said “The Bible”, or worse, much worse, “The Brief Wondrous Life of Oscar Wao”.

Tempted to suggest you leave out the word “the” before the word “shit” and there you go. But that would be pretty rotten of me, so I’ll just say that “Oscar Wao” isn’t my cup of tea. The Bell Jar isn’t one of my favorites either, but at least it’s a drink I could swallow.
