#1 Psycho Mexican Dude Isn’t Content With Carne de Res

Back in October of 2007, Mexican horror-novelist Jose Luis Calva was arrested in Mexico City after the dismembered body of his 30 year-old girlfriend was found stuffed in his closet, his refrigerator, and…a cereal box. He also admitted to police that he’d boiled her flesh, but hadn’t eaten it. He’s not crazy!

#2 The GNOMES

The appearance of a gnome video from Argentina in March of 2008 opened our eyes to the prolific amount of gnome videos from Latin America on YouTube. People seriously believe in them there and we can kind of see why.

#3 Indonesian Fisherman Killed By Komodo Dragons

When thirty-two year-old Muhamad Anwar, trespassing on a remote island in search of fruit in the spring of this year, was attacked and mauled by two giant reptiles, campesinos everywhere were quaking in their boots. Death by lizard is pretty much our worst nightmare. No shit. We literally had a dream about a lizard last night. Is that Freudian?

#4 Brazilian TV Crime Show Host Accused Of Ordering Murders To Boost Ratings

File this under DARK. Wallace Souza, a Brazilian state legislator and TV personality was accused of doing just what the title says. Ordering some murders so that his TV crime show could be first on the scene. Dude. Here’s a video of one such crime scene that Souza is suspected of having orchestrating. Check the smoke. Ew.

#5 Panamaniac!

This hairless thing was allegedly stoned to death by some Panamanian youths last month after it climbed up some rocks and surprised them while they played hacky sack. (Isn’t that when all Latin American monsters appear?)  It was later proven to be a hairless Satan’s spawn.
