firma-de-fidel-9-de-octubre-de-2009-300x156 If right-wingers didn’t think Barack Obama was a commie pinko before, the news that Fidel Castro supports his Nobel Peace Prize win, will pretty much cement his reputation.

In his semi-regular media pontification, “Reflexiones de Fidel,” el Comandante admitted that, rather than being a recognition of anything concrete Obama has done, the award is more of a repudiation of Obama’s predecessors. But, you know, we can live with that.

Castro even said that he usually disagrees with the candidates chosen for the prize, but this time, he believes it was a “step in the right direction,” and that it makes up for Obama having lost the opportunity to host the Olympics in Chicago, something conservatives have been up his twat about since last Friday.

Finally, El Comandante called on Obama to discontinue the legacy of “genocidal policies that have followed quite a few presidents of [the United States], which led the world to the crossroads where it is today.” Something Peace Prize critics have argued Obama is already guilty of by continuing the war in Afghanistan. We don’t agree, but you already knew that.

    Obama deserved the Peace Prize.
He is a very intelligent man.
I never realized how racist the Republicans are.
They are pissed off because Obama won.
They think that we are not ready for a president of color.
    What pendejos!!
Now they are saying he does not deserve the medal.
Do they think Bush deserved a medal?
Maybe for being a spoiled brat and a dumbass.
We live in a sad country, ………..shit………….now I am depressed.

    • I don’t think it’s just the Republicans who are questioning the win.

You got that right, Cindy. I voted for Obama and I support him. But this award is just unfortunate.

  2. One should always question their president, not support them.
