Seven Dance Moves Banned In California High Schools
26 October 2009, 10:44 AM. By Cindy Casares
Two high schools in Southern California have drawn up contracts to stop their students from rubbing genitals on the dance floor–what is commonly known to the kids as “freaking”. Both Downey High School, in Los Angeles County, and Aliso Niguel High School, in Orange County, are forcing kids to sign the contracts before they can attend school dances and Downey had no problem sending their homecoming queen home during the homecoming dance for rubbing her hoo hoo on someone on the dance floor.
They’re not the only ones, either. Dance contracts and rules have cropped up all over the United States in response to the perreo craze. So, what exactly are the offending moves? Well the Aliso Niguel contract reads as follows:
- No straddling legs

- No bending over
- No front to back touching / grinding
- No touching of breasts, buttocks, or genitals
- No “making out” (no overt and/or prolonged public displays of affection)

- Both feet on the floor

- Hands on waists or shoulders only
Really, what’s left? Standing by the punch bowl? Actually, we remember the first time we danced merengue with a Dominican in Washington, D.C. It was trés rapey to our conservative Mexican dance sensibilities. Is Latino culture partially to blame for this slutty dance hysteria? Either way, we suspect this is more a rite of passage than a sign that society is going to hell in a hand basket. After all, we’re pretty sure that, once upon a time, people thought the twist was a sex dance too.

All I can say is, damn! Where were these dances when I was in high school?
mmmmmmm…..dancing merengue with a dominican…..no good! must go dancing soon! :D
ha! i remembered when they banned those at my jr high. in high school they didn’t care as much.
They should go “Footloose” on the students and just ban dancing altogether. The school doesn’t have a duty to entertain the students with parties anyway. I’m serious.
hahahaha wow que bailes!!!!!!
wat the F is this … if kids are going to do that then they cant stop people. you cant reduce sex if it is already there
