Zapatero To Visit Obama Tomorrow. Cameras Await Faux Pas.

Spanish Prime Minister Jose Luis Rodriguez Zapatero is headed to Washington, D.C. tomorrow for his first official visit to the White House since Spain withdrew its troops from Iraq in 2004. This is exciting because whenever Jose Luis Zapatero is around other international leaders, embarrassing shit happens–whether by his hand or those around him, it doesn’t matter. The man is a magnet for cultural faux pas.

First, there was, ¿Por qué no te callas? An instant classic during which the King of Spain told Hugo Chavez to stfu with Zapatero playing referee.

Then there was the infamous ”follar” incident during which Zapatero accidentally vowed Spain would fuck Russia economically through tourism. The video is like an episode of Mr. Bean.

And most recently, Zapatero’s own daughters emerged from the dungeon where he apparently keeps them chained to pose with mom, dad and the Obamas at a U.N. meeting, much to the chagrin of chiropractors for good posture everywhere.

So, what new, internet classics await us tomorrow? We can only hope that Zapatero’s wife will pull a ching chong pose at the state dinner.
