Adamari Lopez And Luis Fonsi Speak Out About Their Divorce

Former super-couple Adamari Lopez and Luis Fonsi are finally addressing rumors about their divorce in their own words. The split, you might recall, comes as a result of Fonsi’s alleged infidelities, most notably with TV host Lilia Luciano, who was rumored to have carried on a romance with Fonsi via sexy text messages. 

Fonsi took to his Twitter account in an effort to squash the perception that he is a trifling hobag:

Lopez, for her part, posted a note addressed to her fans. And, because she’s a consummate pro, she wisely played the “Oh I’m going through this ok, I guess. Did I mention I HAD CANCER?!” card:

My fans:

I want to take this opportunity to thank you for all your support, care and loyalty as well as to clarify that my condition [Lopez was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2005] is under control and I am in good health. 

You know me and you know that I am a strong, brave woman who looks confronts things head-on. Obviously, separation is a painful process and one that is very sad for any person, but please be sure that, if you can overcome cancer, you can overcome any obstacle in your path.

That said, to all those who care for me and who wrote me well wishes, I’d like to share that I’ve been undergoing routine check-ups in Florida, where I am surrounded by family. This medical evaluation has been scheduled for several months. Nonetheless, I’d like to ask that you please keep me in your prayers. 

I am grateful, with all my heart, for the support and love that I receive daily.
