Selena: Su Vida Después De Su Muerte, or Selena, Her Life After Death is the name of a new book written by celebrity publicist Cristina Castrellón, and allegedly co-authored by Selena Quintanilla herself, from beyond the grave with the help of medium/psychic Georgette Rivera. We're going to stop typing right now so that we can stand up and applaud these women ... Okay, now that that's done, Selena: su vida después de su muerte will tell Selena's side of what really happened in that hotel room the night the patron saint of Tejana was murdered by her obsessed fan club manager Yolanda Saldivar in Corpus Christi, Texas. The book, El Porvenir tells us, drops at the end of March from publishers Punto de lectura de la Editorial Santillana, to coincide with the slain singer's birthday and will appear in time for the 15th anniversary of her death. It's divided into three parts. The first is Castrellón's account of her time with Selena when she was alive--Castrellón was a publicist of the artist's who worked with her from 1993 to 1995. The second part of the book contains her communications from Selena through Rivera including information about what really happened the night she was murdered. Though Castrellón assures us she's not motivated by greed and that this is a divinely inspired tome, she also promises that Selena's version contradicts Yolanda's claims that the murder was an accident. The the third part of the book tells the story of how Castrellón and Rivera met in Mexico at a lecture, and how Rivera told Castrellón she saw a dark woman with long hair, wearing a red dress following her around. She asked Castrellón if there was any artist with whom she was close. Castrellón told her, "Selena," and Rivera told Castrellón that Selena sends her love. She also told her to stop giving away gifts that Selena had given to her. This, for Castrellón, was the clincher because she had, in fact, re-gifted a Selenaism. Rivera began communicating Selena's messages to Castrellón from then on. Castrellón says she began writing the book in 2007, before she met Rivera, and it was Rivera who informed her that Selena was the force moving the pen in her hand. Which is why she's totes not worried about getting sued by Selena's father Abraham Quintanilla. Works for us.

This seems hard to believe. Could Selena be so pissed off at Yolanda (for all the unproven crap she's been saying about Selena all these years) that Selena has to come back from the grave to shut her pig ass mouth up! I love Selena, this book is really catching my attention.

This book is excellent and I recommend for those die hard Selena admirers. For those who never met Selena and want to get a feel of how Selena was in "life" this is an excellent book, esp the beginning, Please have kleenex or puffs for when you read what 'Selena' herself wrote in what were six messages for Chris, Marcella , Yolanda, Suzette, A.B., and Abraham. It is chilling and it will bring closure to all Selena fans!
