The Tea Party wingnut convention in Nashville kicked off last night with a rousing address from our old pal Tom Tancredo, former Republican Congressman from Colorado, who called for an end to "the cult of multiculturalism". We need to get in on this cult cuz we could be, like, the grand poobah. Here are our favorite Tom Tancredo gems in no particular order:

People who could not even spell the word 'vote,' or say it in English put a committed socialist ideologue in the White House. His name is Barack Hussein Obama.

If John McCain had been elected president...

President Calderon and President McCain would be toasting the elimination of those pesky things called borders and major steps would have been taken toward the creation of a North American Union.

The revolution has come. It was lead by the cult of multiculturalism aided by leftist liberals all over who don't have the same ideas about America as we do.

Our culture. It's our flag. It's our culture. Embrace it. There's nothing to be ashamed of here. Nothing. And it is our nation. Take it back!

Some things we can deal with just in a political way, and just, you know, by the votes we cast. Other things will require a commitment to passing on our culture, and we do have one, you know? It is based on Judeo-Christian principals whether people like or they don't! That's who we are. THAT IS WHO WE ARE. And if you don't like it, don't come here. And if you're here and you don't like it, go home!

Okay, that was more than five, but Tom's so racist-y, he makes it hard to choose.
