I never doubted for a second that the (rhymes with witch) would sign the bill into law. Still, it's painful to read the news about it.

Oh, hell to the no. Dios mio. You know, I used to think that a few decades from now we'd look back and Sheriff Arpaio and his shenanigans, see them for the incredibly racist acts that they are, and shake our heads asking why this man was allowed to do all of that with impunity. But todays' events just get worse. This is really going over the line. I really don't know what to say. Thank God I'm not in Arizona!

I wouldn't relax for too long. Other states are looking into following Arizona down -- and I mean down -- a similar path. I would suggest people to read about the Weimar Republic during the 1920s.

You cannot cryout unfair, when you cheated to get into the game at the start. Illegal immigrants -- I mean Illegal -- have to come to terms with the fact they did not come to America as is declared rightful entry to America. If I go through the gate I have no fear, if I jump the fence I have to look for the Guard Dog.

This law isn't about immigration; never was, and never will be. Do you think all the so-called white European students at ASU or U of A who overstay their Visa limitations are going to get stopped by local law enforcement? Nope. This law is about persecuting those with brown skin, regardless of nationality. Besides which, the first European settlers entered into this country illegally. Should we retroactively put them on trial?

Jan Crow is alive and well in Arizona. Time to BOYCOTT Arizona. That's the only way to defeat this because a moral appeal will not work. All they care about is money. When the AZ Diamondbacks play in your state, stay home. The owner is a big Republican donor. Boycott U-Haul, Best Western and PF Chang's, all of which have their headquarters in AZ. Also, don't pay to see any movie that was filmed in Arizona.

As a highly educated (beyond university studies), American citizen of Hispanic descent, I submit today that the Governor did the right thing. It's not about race or about the Mexican people of Arizona; surely, Mexicans aren't the only group of people that live here so throw out the race card for crying out loud! This is about ILLEGAL immigration and nothing more. We are not closing the borders or stopping the influx of immigrants that live, work, or visit this great state. All legal persons are welcome, and Arizona is happy for you to call this place home. The feds owe us millions of dollars for immigration enforcement so we're just going to pay our own tab from here on out. In stepping up to the feds and telling them that we are empowered to do their job, Arizona is taking care of its people. True, this is a conservative state but let us not forget that the PEOPLE have spoken, and in a democracy like this MAJORITY RULES. Nice job Arizonans!

This is just bullshit. And to the person with so called education (beyond university studies) fuck you asshole. Tell me throw out the races card when they go after whites, asians, blacks, ethiopians, indians and all those other fucking races besides the hispanic and mexicans. For someone with university studies you sure are a pendejo de madre.

Actually, let me hit you with some knowledge.

Arizona receives $1.19 per every dollar it pays in taxes.

Nothing more than "illegal immigration" you say? OK then. Pay no attention to the whole Latino equals undocumented immigrant/criminal/subhuman angle, everyone. Tell me: since males 18-34 commit the overwhelming majority of all crimes, especially violent ones should we pull over all males and ensure they have no outstanding warrants against them, requiring them to constantly have certification that they are not criminals? Hey, nine out of ten child rapists are male so let's make sure every males wears some sort of "proof" that they're not pedophiles! That's just as practical, oh "highly educated" one. If you're so highly educated, tell me why you don't know that undocumented immigrants are a financial positive for the United States, especially in terms of taxes as they pay more than they ever use? Or why do you not take into account that only a small minority of Latinos are undocumented, so this will result in needless harassment of the rest of us?

re: "As a highly educated (beyond university studies), American citizen of Hispanic descent, I submit today that the Governor did the right thing." I have seen this exact post all over the internet. I doubt this person is Hispanic. The racists just want to make it seem like Hispanics support this bill. In the event that you are Hispanic, you are a fool, and when you are sitting in a jail cell because you forgot to bring your birth certificate with you to the supermarket, then maybe you will understand the ramifications of legalized racial profiling.

Silly Hispanic don't you know that according to Obama and the 2010 census you have no race unless you say you are not just Hispanic but also white, asian, black, ethiopian, indian or one of those other fucking races as you say they are. Ironic how Obama played you dumb Hispanics with that one. There can't be racism against Hispanics now Duhh. LOL

There is a march for immigration rights in Dallas on May 1st. The planning meetings are held every Monday at 6:30 at Tejano's on Davis. Let's do this in every city. We need to show them how pissed off we are.

With that kind of wording in the census now I know why Obama will not go as far as say this is racist! And the census is the proof he is such a phony. Obama is playing his own racist tricks on Hispanics that are just as harmful..

Boycott the Arizona Diamondbacks baseball team. The owner and general manager donate heavily to right wing politicians. When they play in Colorado, Los Angeles, Houston, Miami, and San FranciscoOstay home and tell your friends and relatives to stay home too.

I am sick of other fellow hispanics, thinking "all" Mexican-AMERICANS are against 1070. I am an AMERICAN I am PRO-AMERICA! It is ashame we have to have new bills and laws passed just to enforce the laws we already have! ILLEGAL people are called ILLEGAL for a reason. Something has to be done to protect our borders this bill may not have been the best solution, hell its not even a solution but its a start. I have no fear of being questioned because of my skin color or because I am Hispanic? I don't plan to be driving with or employing any ILLEGAL PEOPLE.

What? a) explain how not showing solidarity helps b) this has nothing to do with relying on Hispanic leaders, fck hierarchy, this is a gathering of people who all think the Arizona law is racist c) the meeting places are at the Guadalupe cathedral and at the Plaza of the Americas @ noon for anyone that's tired of typing and wants to do shit
