It was very nice for Barack Obama to acknowledge Cinco De Mayo at the White House on Wednesday, but after honoring a few Mexican-American politicians in the audience, he went on to name every Latino in Washington even though Cinco de Mayo is a Mexican holiday. This included Supreme Court Justice Sonya Sotomayor who was born in New York City and is of Puerto Rican descent. This is something akin to honoring Americans on Canada Day. Other non-Mexican-American public servants President Obama named were Cuban-American Senator Bob Menendez (R-NJ), Puerto Rican Congresswoman Nydia Velázquez (D-NY) and Italian-American Secretary of Homeland Security Janet Napolitano. Guess no matter what you other Latin countries accomplish, you'll always be a bunch of saltwater Mexicans. It could be worse, he could have mistaken you for Dominican.

ReplyDon't forget to keep boycotting Arizona. Even if the media stops covering this issue, we need to keep boycotting. When the Diamondbacks play in your city, stay home and tell your friends and family to stay home. Do not give these racists any of your hard earned money. Do not use U-haul, Dial Soap, or eat at Stone Cold creamery
ReplyArizona businesses to boycott: Best Western, ColdStone Cremery, Clear Channel Outdoor, ClubJenna, Dial, Discount Tire Co, Fender, Fox Animation Studios, Go Daddy, Greyhound, TGIFridays, PetSmart, PF Changs, Ramada, SkyMall, Taco Time, U Haul, US Airlines are all headquartered in Arizona, FYI.
