You know, even considering the obvious fact that Christina Fernandez' husband was also president before her, and that clearly played a part in her election, seeing a super femme first lady in long hair and heels and a pink cardi does make quite the interesting picture. I like it. And Jesus Christ, good to see that the Guardian likes to go with the "partly inaccurate interpretation" school of foreign language translating. Those English captions did not really match up with what the people said, like, at all. The President's words were translated correctly, the other people were not. Interesting. Also, WTF is up with pointing out that the law in Argentina only applies to Argentinian citizens and residents? Isn't that kind of obvious? How undermine-y (this is a word!). Since when do a country's laws apply to people who are not living there and are not its citizens?
