Some People Up In Arms About Undocumented Mexican P.I. Show

When Deadline Holllywood broke the news that a new crime drama about an undocumented Mexican working as a private eye in Los Angeles had been greenlit by FX, some conservative blogs went ballistic. Because, you know, having an anti-hero as your main character is the beginning of the decline of Western civilization. *Cough! Sopranos, Weeds, Breaking Bad, Dexter, cough!* Oh, correction. Having a Latino anti-hero as your main character is the decline of Western civilization. From an article  in response to the Deadline Hollywood news on Gateway Pundit called, "Are You Ready For An Illegal Mexican Immigrant Private Detective TV Series?" (We can just hear Hank Williams, Jr. singing that.)

Democrats have already said that they hope to divide the Latino vote against the Republicans. The sympathetic manner in which the creators of this series say they intend to depict illegal immigrants should help to advance the meme that they are all victims.

Yes, this is a show written by the DNC airing on a Fox owned network. Sounds logical.
