Diagnosed With AIDS, Colombian Priests Hire Hitmen To Kill Themselves. Maybe. Maybe Not.

This story has all kinds of shady details I'm not sure I believe, but whateves: Rafael Reatiga and Richard Piffano, two Catholic priests that may have been lovers, supposedly payed hitmen $8,500 dollars to kill them and "make it look like a robbery attempt" after Rafael was diagnosed with AIDS and syphilis. Maritza Gonzalez, the chief investigator of the prosecutor's office, said the priests initially planned to drive off a cliff but couldn't work up the cojones to do so. Their families, however, insist they were killed by armed robbers.
