Here's one of those freaky tales you only hear from mesmerized abuelas:

Kelvin Santos, a two-year-old from Belen, Brazil, had been pronounced dead after he stopped breathing while being treated for pneumonia. Kelvin's family planned his funeral after his lifeless body was given to them by hospital staff. The family first held an open-casket wake in their home so mourners could say goodbye. It wasn't until the following day, just an hour before the funeral, that Kelvin supposedly sat up from his coffin and asked his father, Antonio Santos, for water before lying down and "dying again."

Those who witnessed Kelvin's, um, resurrection were "socked" and "screamed" -- as any sensible person would -- since they all thought a miracle had taken place. After the incident Kelvin was rushed to the hospital. Doctors reexamined him and confirmed (reconfirmed?) Kelvin was dead. Again.

Antonio filed a medical malpractice claim because he believes his son was incorrectly pronounced dead the first time he was taken in. As for little Kelvin, his body was finally buried in a local cemetery.

¡Santo dios! I would literally die of fright if somebody that was supposed to be dead woke up in the middle of their funeral service. But, viendolo por las buenas, at least the casket wouldn't go to waste, huh?
