Rockola: New "Besos Al Aire" Video By 3BallMTY Feat. America Sierra, Smoky

Here's a new video by 3BallMTY featuring some people I've never heard of named America Sierra and Smoky. I'm not a HUGE tribal fan, but I recognize that there is some uniqueness to the quirky genre. 3BallMTY's last single became a nightclub hit and the band -- or colectivo, as they like to call themselves -- is currently signed to Fonovisa, the regional division of Universal Music. 

Again, while I'm not a huge fan of the genre, I've been hoping 3BallMTY will be able to take their concept to another level. With "Intentalo" the collective fused the kitsch aesthetics of the chuntarito boot, um, subculture? And fused it with their sound. Somehow, someway, it worked. This new video does nothing of the sort; it could be mistaken for an Aventura Pepsi ad or, at best, a reggaetonero's debut on the last two seconds of Primer Impacto. And I know they're supposed to be a party band but, seriously, the whole "rockstar DJs at the club" thing has been done a million times over. And wasn't that was the concept of their last video? Or was this made piecing together leftover reel from "Intentalo"? I hope so. Otherwise I'm not sure how they justify making the same thing twice. 

Oh. Sorry. I got a little pessimistic towards the end of that last paragraph. But, yeah, you get an A for effort, 3BallMTY.
