I was praying there would be another Jackie Guerra-related post so I’d have the chance to share a wonderful anecdote: in my socio class we were watching a documentary from like 1995 on 2nd generation Latinos and lo & behold, who should be featured in this video but the amazing Jackie Guerra! Her introduction as an “up & coming Latina comedienne & actress” was juxtaposed with a clip of her doing stand-up during which no one laughed. No one knew who she was (except me of course, thank you Guanabee) & I was about to explain how she is reknown for her weight-loss & stalking Latino bloggers, when someone yelled out “Isn’t she the fat bitch from Selena?” It made my fucking day.

Agree. The awesomeness of this “fuck you, i did do my research & now I shall destroy you” response almost makes having my inbox clogged with the responses from Miss Guerra & her one rabid fan worth it. Almost.
