Yesterday Mariah Carey reprised her Michael Jackson cover, “I’ll Be There,” for his worldwide-telecast, blockbuster, memorial service. Trey Lorenz, who duetted with her on the 1992 MTV Unplugged version, also sang. And you could really hear how much Mariah cannot hit a fucking note.

Michael Jackson was pronounced dead today at approximately 3:15 PM Pacific Time at UCLA Medical Center after arriving in a deep coma as a result of cardiac arrest. We can’t even believe we just wrote those words. The King of Pop was 50 years old. His death marks the end of one of the biggest careers in the history of show business and American pop culture.

Mexican actor Ricardo Montalbán, most famous for his role as “Fantasy Island’s” debonair Mr. Roarke, died this morning in his Los Angeles home. He was 88 years old.
Montalbán enjoyed success as a film actor as well, starring in movies with the likes of Clark Gable and Lena Horne. …And in movies like 1982’s Star Trek [...]
