Lost In Translation: Supermarket Employee Fired For Not Being Latino

A white, non-Latino meat cutter claims he was fired from his job at a supermarket because he was not Latino. The employee successfully sued Compare Foods supermarket in Statesville, North Carolina for $30,000 through the EEOC. We think we’ll be seeing a lot more of this-o in the future-o.

Ana Barbara Accuses Royal Caribbean Cruise Line Of Discrimination

Mexican singer Ana Barbara was asked, along with 34 other Mexicans, to leave her Royal Caribbean cruise ship before it docked in Singapore. The company cited Singapore’s strong measures against the Hiney Bacon Flu as the reason for their throwing all these Mexicans overboard.

The comprehensive study conducted by a Montgomery, Alabama civil rights non-profit group surveyed 500 Latinos - legal immigrants and otherwise - from five communities across the South.

Melody Morales, a 21-year-old former Hooters waitress described as a “Latina Lovely,” is suing boobylicious Times Square restaurant Hawaiian Tropic Zone after management denied her a position because she was, apparently, “ghetto” and had an inability to “speak white.”
