Patrick Swayze died yesterday, finally succumbing to pancreatic cancer at the tender age of fifty-seven. The svelt, dancing Texan was a favorite of Generation X for starring in really bad movies that made them cheer in the aisles when they were too young to know better.

Patrick Swayze, Latino icon, has decided to stop treatments for his pancreatic cancer, preferring, at this point to “die with his boots on.” Fifty-six year old Swayze has been in treatment for his cancer for about a year now.
