About 100,000 people are expected to participate in a march in San Juan and protest at the giant Plaza las Americas shopping mall. The shopping center, the largest in all the Caribbean, is closing for the day in anticipation of the protests.

Forty-two year-old, recently unemployed optician Robert Daniel Webb walked into a convenience store in Ellensburg, Washington at 3AM on Tuesday and held up the cashier at gunpoint with his nine year-old daughter by his side. The whole thing was caught on security camera video.

Miami Herald Cutting 175 Jobs: Who Will Provide Weird Florida News?

Lest you get to feeling too optimistic with dreams of retiring to Mexico or obtaining a motel home in Orange County, Miami Herald publisher David Landsberg announced today the paper is cutting 19% of its workforce which amounts to “about 175 workers” from “all areas of our operation and at every level in the organization.”
